Mr Paul felt that it was the best in-service that he had been to and Mr Robertson enjoyed the fact that it was research-based. What item on the list is Mr Scouller recalling?
I have Rich's book Impact Teaching which goes into more detail on his ideas. I also have a mix of his images in electronic form for posters and a selection of the music that he uses that I can lend to staff. Rich is likely to be spending more time in Australia in 2008 and we may establish an on-going connection with him.

Having 'un-boring' teachers would be a great relief! =D
The ideas that Dr. Rich Allen has showed the teachers seems to be working in class the Mr. Paterson. It will be a great relief once every teacher at shore is using the better methods of teaching in the classroom.
Teacher's using the technology of today is a more exciting way of learning. Using the technology of today, e.g websites, helps people learn, such as myself, quicker. I hope that Shore can incoperate more technology in it's teaching style with many years to come!
I can happily say that the work that Rich Allen has done has been showing up throughout our History class with Mr. Paterson, and I think all his new learning ideas have worked great so far. Keep it up. <(*_*)>
The fact that teachers are considering the way they learn is good. Its handy to know that the teachers actually care about what they are teaching us and actively find better ways to convey information from their mouths to our heads.
It would be great to have more engaging lessons & teachers. I hope that the ideas Dr. Allen have put forward are put into use by the teachers of Shore
I would love all of my teachers in every subject to be funner. I think Dr. Rich Allens initiative will be a great help to students in the future.
I think that it will be great if all the teachers can teach us in an interesting and fun manner.
Hopefully as a staff we are becoming less boring! Boys, it does help if you encourage teachers to try new teaching techniques by complimenting them when you notice. I can assure you Ned, that all teachers do care really strongly about what they teach. Maybe some of Dr Allen's ideas will become even more noticeable next year?
it would be very good if the teachers madethe classes more interesting and this would mean thatwe would become more ingaged with what the teachers teach us and it would seem moreinteresting to the boys
I agree with Kuihei, TY1 pride!
It would be good for classes to become more interesting and fun rather than just memorising notes from a book.
Having fun teachers such as Mr Tate
he is a legend
I personally think the teaching Methords of Dr. Rich Allen will have a positive impact on the teaching at school. Instead of the same old boring text book work, teachers (Mr Paterson for example) are finding new ways to experiment with teaching which is adds flavour to the teaching and learning taking place in the class room
Boring teachers make the day go for twice as long making us work half as much
will be a relief if techology is encoporated with the classroom activities.
is there a better option than the smartboard
$15000 sounds to much

I must say that this new change in teaching practices will be great i just can't see how you could you use Mr Scouller being a hen in class sure it would make the class very interesting but would it teach anything maybe im not sure.
It seems that everyone agrees that this was a good idea. Teachers that are more animated and do not just set work from textbooks get across to students much better. I hope that Mr. Paterson ios right and it will get better next year.
Dr Rich Allen has alot of great ideas for the class room
as i have found out in Mr Paterson's class room
the lessons after Dr Rich Allen's seninar thingo our classes have been less boring than they usually are

I attended Dr Allen's workshop to staff. I am still using his "create a peg" approach. It works. Why does it work. Well, one reason is because it taps into, and uses our visualisation and kinesthetic intelligences for learning
